On the Eve of the next big WWE Pay Per View Elimination Chamber Match, we are going to look back at some of very best matches to grace the chamber.
The Elimination Chamber match is strictly a six participant match wherein two participants begin the bout in the ring as the remaining four are held within each inner enclosure and are released into the match at five minute intervals. The objective is to eliminate each opponent from the match via pinfall or submission. The winner is the last remaining participant after all others have been eliminated. As in the Hell in a Cell match, disqualifications do not apply.
The first match in the WWE of the Elimination Chamber took place on November 17th 2002, at WWE survivor series, this match was for the World Heavyweight Championship and was between, Triple H, Booker T, Chris Jericho, Kane, Shawn Michaels and Rob Van Dam. MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
The second WWE Elimination Chamber Match to happen in the WWE was on August 24th at the Pay Per View WWE Summer Slam. This again was for the WWE Championship and was between Triple H, Goldberg, Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash and Randy Orton. Next it was at the New Year's Revolution WWE pay per view to see the next Elimination Chamber Match, This was the main event for the WWE Championship, but for the first time we had a special guest referee in Shawn Michaels, and for the third time in a row Triple H was in the match.This match was between Batista, Chris Benoit, Edge, Chris Jericho, Randy Orton and Triple H. We had to wait a whole year to see the Elimination Chamber once more and again it was at the WWE pay per view New Years Revolution 2006. For the first time Triple H was not in the match and handed debut's to a host of WWE superstars to the chamber. MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
We just had wait 11 months to see the next Elimination Chamber Match, and for the first time it was on a different brand, this time it was ECW's turn to have the Chamber. It was contested for the ECW World Championship, At pay per view December to Dismember Big Show entered as ECW World Champion and took on Bobby Lashley, Hardcore Holly, CM Punk, Test, Rob Van Dam! We waited almost 2 years to see the Chamber in action again , but when it returned , it did with a bang! Having not only one match but two on the same night! It was the WWE Pay Per View No Way Out in 2008 where we saw these matches. The first match was contested for a World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania XXIV. The second Elimination Chamber Match was for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. For the First time ever Edge was featured in both matches on the same night! He faced John Cena, Chris Jericho, Kane, Mike Knox and Rey Mysterio.

It took till 2010 for the Elimination Chamber to be given its very own pay per view. On this night there was again two Elimination Chamber Matches again one for the WWE Championship and for the World Heavy Weight Championship. The Championship Match is between Sheamus, John Cena, Triple H, Randy Orton, Ted DiBiase and Kofi Kingston.
An the world Heavyweight Championship Match was between The Undertaker, R-Truth, John Morrison, Rey Mysterio, Chris Jericho and CM Punk.

The Second Elmination Chamber Pay Per View was 2011, as before two matches on the same night. One match was for the WWE championship, and the other a world heavyweight championship match at WrestleMania XXVII.

Make sure you check out the upcoming WWE Elimination Chamber Pay Per View, this chamber has seen some gruesome matches. It has even seen WWE superstar Triple H suffer a swollen throat, also Sheamus reportedly suffered a concussion during the Elimination Chamber match in 2010.
